Jonatas is a freelance Editor who has experience with Avid, Premiere and After Effects. He cuts in English, Spanish Portuguese, and French. Companies he ha worked with include Cabin Editing Company, Rock Paper Scissors, Union Editorial, among others. He has also worked directly with several different commercial & music video directors.

He is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts where he received his MFA in Film & Television Production. He has been featured by MovieMaker Magazine and is the recipient of an HBO scholarship for the Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today program.

 

Jonatas was born and raised in West Africa to Brazilian social workers. His multi-cultural background now serves as an inspiration for his work. He continuously seeks to bring authentic stories to the screen as part of a diverse generation of filmmakers seeking to bring positive change to the industry.
